Wall Street and Israel

By Elmer Josephson

We cannot sanction all that goes on or is pulled off on Wall Street, but by and large, it is considered in business circles as the Gibraltar guide and criterion of American‘s financial and economic life. Great and wise men in buying stocks and bonds ask advice of this biggest investment bastion on earth. From their wealth of knowledge and experience they should be most qualified to offer good sound counsel on matters of financial investment.

There could be no higher recommendation from the human level. However, we are blessed with the oaths and promises of the Eternal, which are of infinite more value and far more reliable than the aggregate sum of the wisest, righteous men of all ages.

On the unshakable foundation of the Word of the Almighty, together with the advice of good men, I urge you to buy Israel Bonds, the safest and best investment on earth. The Creator, who throughout Holy Writ calls Himself the God of Israel, has never repealed His eternal contract as recorded in Genesis 17. Though He is not a respecter of persons, He is a respecter of His covenants. He is waiting to bless you and your investment in Israel bonds according to His bonus promise, "I will bless them that bless thee" (Gen. 12:1-3).

Check Point

Those who pretend to have a spiritual interest in Israel, but will only spend a dime or any effort if it can bring their ‘conversion’ to Christianity, are hypocrites. Such are condemned by the Lord Himself, "If a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food and one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give not those things which are needful to the body, what doth it profit?" (James 2:15,16). And again, "But whoso hath this world goods and seeth his brother have need and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?...Let us not love in word, neither in tongue but in deed and in truth" (I John 3:17).

Such spiritually self-esteemed, heartless professors of faith need desperately to see films captured during World War II of actual scenes taken of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, of Hitler’s death camps, Auschwitz, Treblinca, Bergen-Belsen, etc. Besides the slain six million there are multiplied thousands who yet need to be cared for in Israel and other such thousands waiting to come from enemy lands.

Perhaps if their self-appointed judges and these super-righteous spectators had themselves and their loved ones been the victims of Hitler’s cruel torture machine, they would have more concern for the yet needy and suffering of the remnant of Israel, God’s chosen. Who knows what the future may yet hold for many smug, so-called "followers" of Him Who said, "Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy" (Matt. 5:7).

Though there is nothing so peaceful as the sea in a clam, so there is nothing more dreadful as its waves in furious storm. And nothing is sweeter than the peace of God, yet nothing can be more bitter than when His anger is poured out.

It is quite evident that we are fast approaching the day spoken of by the prophet Joel (chapter 3) when the Almighty shall judge the Gentile nations after a final battle that will usher in the glorious kingdom of God upon earth, and which will bring into focus this awesome scene described in Matthew 25:31-46.

Have you received your share of the special blessing that comes by investing in Israel Bonds? Israel is the one nation that holds a guarantee from the Almighty that it will endure as long as the sun, moon and stars exist (Jeremiah 31:35-37). While you are actually the very means of fulfilling Bible prophecy, you are also insuring your own future dividends, materially as well as spiritually.

I feel without question this is the final ingathering of the Jews and that Israel will be the greatest nation on the face of the earth. Read Isaiah 19:23-25. If only the Arabs would realize that this is God’s blessing.
