Honoring the Land and the Landmarks of God

“And it shall be on the day when ye shall pass over Jordan unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, that thou shalt set thee up great stones, and plaister them with plaister: And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee” (Deut. 27:2,3).

There were THREE areas where great stone monuments to Torah were placed when Israel entered the land under Joshua.

On the shore by Jericho, the gateway to the Promised Land. Twelve stones borne upon the shoulders of twelve men (one for each tribe) were taken from the bed of the Jordan River at the place where the priests bearing the Ark of the Covenant stood while the people passed over.

Joshua also set up 12 stones in the midst of Jordan at the place where the priests which bore the Ark stood. (Joshua 4:1-9)

At the twin mountains of Ebal and Gerizim in Samaria. (Joshua 8:30-35) This was in the area that became “Ephraim” the Northern Kingdom of Israel.

What was written on them? Verse 3 above: “The words of this law”.

Concerning this passage, the Jewish sage Nachmanides wrote: “The inscription of the Torah on the stones by the banks of the Jordan was to serve as a reminder to the people that they were to observe those laws in their daily life, and thereby be worthy of entering and possessing the land.

Torah Law is the key to success. But Israel sought then and now to be like the nations instead of applying Torah. Therefore, they have lost to the enemy the following:

1& 2. Jericho – the gateway to the land – was the first area where the stones were to be set. There was a DOUBLE monument of the Law in this area: in the middle of the Jordan itself and on the shore. Symbolically in our day, the crossing of the Jordan was sabotaged here. Jericho was the first to fall in the present day “Peace Accord”.

At this place Joshua met with the warrior who said he was “Captain of the Hosts of the Lord”. (Is this not Messiah?) He was there to order the battle with the Torah code God had given them at Mt. Sinai.

Another incident that happened the first time Israel came through this Jericho gate and is symbolic of a common failure of God’s people then and now, in any nation, any where, Jew OR Christian: Achan made a choice and took idolatrous items which identified with the ways of the heathen nations. This brought defeat and cost great loss of lives to the Hebrew children.

3. The third place where the Law was to be set in concrete and stone was in Samaria – the land of Ephraim, the 10 northern tribes – now called  “lost” tribes.

In the present ingathering Judah has failed to set up Torah Law regarding the land and it has resulted in Ephraim’s land being given to the enemy. Why? Is Judah still against Ephraim? And is Ephraim still pulling away from Judah? Brave Torah-believing settlers are hanging on to this area with their lives. What will heal the breach? What will regather and reunite both houses – Judah and Ephraim?

The Ineffable Name

In “The People & The Book” column of The Jerusalem Report (January 17, 2000) Authur Waskow writes:

“The ineffable Name is unpronounceable not because we are forbidden to articulate it but because there is no way to “pronounce” it except by breathing: Yyhhwwwhhh. It is a name that reaches across all barriers of language. It is not Hebrew or Egyptian or Sumerian or Latin or Greek or Sanskrit or Arabic, but it is present beneath them all. It is the most universal of names: the Breath of Life — what tradition calls the Breath/Soul of All Living Beings, the Divine Breath/Spirit/Wind.

If, as some are teaching (and with huge Biblical and historical support) that the Northern Kingdom of Israel (called Ephraim because that was the dominant tribe) has penetrated all the nations of the world – and more: infiltrated – and more: brought Abraham’s chosen seed (Isaac/Jacob) into all races of people – If indeed “The fullness of the Gentiles” refers to this, THEN:

It is time for those Bible believers from the nations and who are filled with the Ruach HaHodesh to bring again that loving Spirit and Name above all others to the mountains of Ephraim for the Biblical purpose:

Isaiah 25:10 “In this mountain [the mountains of Israel are the backbone of the land] shall the hand of the Lord rest….

V.7: “And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over ALL people, and the vail that is spread over ALL NATIONS”. Not just the veil of “blinders” of Israel to Messiah, but all people whom ‘the god of this world has blinded’ (II Cor. 4:4). Blinded so much that they are dead to God and His Sovereign ways. There will be a mighty operation of God that will remove this covering and blindness. There will be no excuse for it will be evident to all that the God of Israel rules over all. There will be no more cover ups, no more lies, only TRUTH.

V.6: “And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto ALL people a feast ….”

But what can be done at this point of prophetic time? Is God regathering Israel to destroy and scatter them again? In my ears there is a big resounding NO! What would be the purpose? Has destruction and scattering and the bondage they’ve endured among the nations brought Israel to repentance in the past 2000 years?

What then WILL bring them back to the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and to Messiah the Son of The Living God who is The Lamb slain from the foundation of the earth?

Only one thing: The ineffable Name – the Breath/wind of God – the breath of life – This Name and through the faith in His Name in the hearts of believers who have been breathed upon, and who bear the great fruit of the Spirit: “love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” (Gal. 5:22,23). The Apostle goes on to say, “There’s NO LAW against these!” This will help bring forth a mighty act of God that cannot be denied nor lightly spoken of by Israel or the nations.

The name “Yashuah” means deliverance, salvation. This Hebrew root for salvation also forms a name that only can be breathed. Y-a-a-shu-ah. It’s impossible to even spell the sound of a breath! Think about it!

The same root is used for the MOUNTAIN areas where brave Bible-believing Jews have restored barren land: “Yesha” is the Hebrew acronym for Judah, Samaria and Gaza.

The settlement of Ma’ale Michmas is located in “Ephraim” about 15 miles northeast of Jerusalem. We are attempting to “bear fruit” there by planting an almond orchard in memory of Elmer Josephson, my late husband. They also are in need of an ambulance. Will you help “breathe” life into the rocky soil in the area of our adopted settlement, Ma’ale Michmas? See how below.

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation: that said unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!” (Isaiah 52:7).-
