Who Knows the Way?
In the Book of Judges it is recorded twice, “In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 17:6 & 21:25).
When man makes his own rules it brings chaos and destruction. The Book of Judges is full of stories of revival and declension. When God sent judges to deliver his people, they’d rejoice, but would turn again to doing whatever they wanted.
Sound familiar? We are living in a generation when self-gratification is the vogue. We presume upon the grace of God and lightly declare, “Oh, it doesn’t matter, God will forgive.”
Yes, He is merciful and forgiving, but built into His Laws for living are results: good results when obeyed and bad when transgressed. “The curse causeless shall not come” (Prov. 26:2). There is always a cause for every curse.
It has not been the policy of Bible Light to engage in Israel’s internal conflicts and some of our friends say, “Stay out of the political arena.” However, when (1)Scripture prophecy is being fulfilled before our eyes, (2) and it has to do with not only Israel but all nations; (3) when preparation for God’s Kingdom on earth is accelerating at ballistic speed – What IS the Bible believer to do? Can we sit back and yawn and say it’s none of our business?
The trumpet call at this day and hour is so loud and clear we can’t help but hear it. And with the hearing comes the challenge to DO whatever we can!
That is the purpose of this publication – to give readers an insight and an avenue of help. This issue of the Bible Light on the News has articles by both houses of believers in God’s Word – Jews and Christians. What each writes is not always 100% the view of BLI, but we believe this is the day for both houses to unite. Also the words of others need to be considered in the light of God’s Word “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God….” (Eph. 4:13).
The Good News is that harvest season has begun and a torrent of Torah learning will mark the difference between truth and fiction. Are we ready to enroll? -
