And the heathen shall know that I the Lord to sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary [dwelling presence] shall be in the midst of them for evermore”

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is featured in this edition of Bible Light on the News. Cover picture (above) depicts God’s confirmation of this place of sacrifice by fire from heaven.

Jerusalem Demonstration – An orthodox Jew, Gershon Salomon of The Temple Mount Faithful Movement, gives his account of the January 9th rally in Jerusalem, initiated by Natan Sharansky (who spent 9 years in a Soviet prison). With the words, “Jerusalem, I pledge,” projected onto the wall near Jaffa Gate and torches blazing along the ramparts, the 500,000 strong [most media numbers grossly short] crowd sang and danced to, “If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its cunning.” At the same time, Pres. Clinton was publicly declaring, “There is no choice but for [Israel] to divide this land into two states for two peoples.” He said that “independent actors” not controlled by the Palestinian Authority are the cause of terrorism. In contrast, Israel’s findings are that Arafat’s Fatah are implicated. Concerning Israelis, Clinton said, “They’re creating a few problems, too. The settlement enterprise and building bypass roads in the heart of what will one day inevitably be a Palestinian state is inconsistent with the notion that both sides must negotiate a compromise.”

What’s that again? In the “Heart of” what? This mountain region he speaks of is where God said to Abraham and later confirmed to Jacob, “Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever” (Gen. 13:14, 15. See also 29:13-15). And in this “heartland” is our almond orchard that our readers have helped plant in memory of Elmar Josephson. Do you realize your act of faith is helping hold the land?

The Biblical Importance of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount “Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem” (Psalm 51:18) begins an article by my late husband which is even more apropos today then when he wrote it! The Word of the Lord is timely and never grows old..

Heart of the Matter! is an article by our friend (by correspondence), Sam Peak, of the Prophetic Roundup magazine – which gives a look at  the goals of the 70 weeks in Daniel and their relationship to the 3rd Temple. He gives some fresh and challenging thoughts. Don’t miss it.

The article, Time for Biblical Leadership, is consistent with the political insight of our friend, John Stembridge. His articles faxed to newspapers nation-wide appear in many as op-ed features.

3rd Temple Mysteries is an article resulting from my personal Bible study, with the prayer it will challenge you to think and study your Bible more concerning things coming to pass.
